Call Adele Sanborn, president, at (703) 777-6247.

The Loudoun Sketch Club is one of the Loudoun arts groups dedicated to the visual arts. It has been in existence since painter and land preservationist Vinton Pickens founded the club in the 1930s. The club meets every Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Douglass Community Center in Leesburg. New members or prospective members are welcome. They should bring a bag lunch and their sketch materials. Club dues are $45 for the year for those who wish to join.

The club also does forays into the Loudoun countryside to sketch Loudoun views. Last year its members did an extensive round of sketches featuring Hibbs bridge on Snickersville Pike. Club members hope to sketch Loudoun historical sites before development encroaches.

The club holds two annual shows of members' works, one in the spring and one in the fall.
